  • BCC Research - Reports on major economic, scientific, and technological developments in industrial, pharmaceutical, and high technology worldwide.

  • Frost & Sullivan - Reports and market trends encompassing various technology-, energy-, and manufacturing-related fields. Includes coverage of healthcare, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals.

  • Technavio - Reports on a variety of global industries including technology, healthcare, and more. Report downloads are available, but one must select and request a specific report (click the Get PDF button) and supply one's HBS email address.  Reports will be sent via email within one business day.

 

Company screening, how to create a target list:

 

Public company profiles, equity research, etc:

Startup and Private company profiles:

  • Pitchbook has detailed profiles on startups and other sponsor backed companies. Also includes data on public companies that were previously sponsor backed. 

 

Article and news searches:

  • ScienceDirect - Full-text articles from journals on the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences, business and management.

  • Informa - The database consists publications of In Vivo, MedTech Insight, and Scrip). Provides proprietary news articles and analysis on medical technologies, biopharm, and diagnostic industries as well as profiles of leading-edge companies/startups in the above industries.

  • Stat Plus - News and analysis on healthcare, pharmaceuticals and biotech industries including policy and science developments, and overview of different technologies.

  • Factiva - Covers news from national and local newspapers, magazines, trade publications and transcripts worldwide including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, etc.
