Energy: efficiency data of US universities
Where can I find data on the energy efficiency of US universities?

For energy management: use the Resource List and Data & Statistics sections of the  National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities.

For energy consumption: CBECS – Commercial buildings energy consumption survey includes data on education sector. you may have to look into the survey reports.

Universities are not required to make their facility usage statics public record. Some universities may state total number of sq footage in their website but do not give additional detailed information about their facility size. However, if you have a particular set of universities in mind, you may contact those universities’ architects or construction office and see if you can get the relevant numbers from them.

Using HU as an example of the kind of data you need: HU Fact Book - Under “Resources” You may find info on Physical Plant and Environmental Performance useful.

Other universities might have similar reports. You may need to contact them if you don’t find the info you need from their public website.
