How do I find articles on urban development and environmental issues in city planning?

EBSCO covers studies on various topics in the field of urban development, such as third world planning issues, urban strategies, city design challenges (including eco-cities and smart cities), transportation or highway planning, infrastructure financing, building materials, and parks.  This link leads to a search result in a variety of EBSCO databases.

Journal of Planning Literature covers topics such as urban strategies, green buildings, water systems, and waste management. 

Urban Land  from the Urban Land Institute.  It focuses on the information needs of land use and development professionals worldwide.

Harvard University Graduate School of Design: Urban Planning and Design Research Guide curates Harvard University library resources in support of research in urban planning and design.

Places is a journal covering public scholarship on architecture, landscape, and urbanism.
