Many scientific groups do land and sea surface temperature analysis through out the world. Three of the most-cited groups are:

• NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies Surface Temperature Analysis (GISTEMP)
• The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA),  NOAA also publishes Global Temperature Trends: Summation.
• U.K Met Office 

Independent of the above is the Berkeley Earth Project. The Project sets out to to do a new analysis of the surface temperature record.
