Tax rates (by U.S. state)

Where can I find U.S. state sales, income or excise tax rates?

VitalLaw 

  1. From the list of Practice Areas click Tax - State & Local.
  2. Select the State of interest. 
  3. Click Smart Charts.
  4.  Select (1) Topics  e.g.,: Business Income Tax, Property Tax, Sales & Use Taxes, etc..
  5. Click the tab towards the middle of the page for (2) Results.
  6. Export Results (see left hand side navigation)

Federation of Tax Administrators:  Website includes state comparisons of income, sales, and excise tax rates.  Under the menu for Divisions and Programs, select Research & Tax Rates > Current Tax Rates.
