Forecasts: economic, industry, and country

How can I find economic, industry, and country forecasts worldwide?


A.

Datastream: HBS access is limited to Consensus Economics Mean Forecasts.

  • Open the Excel application and select Refinitiv link, then choose Datastream Formula.
  • Click on the filter icon to the right of the series/lists search bar.

  • Click on the Explorer Tree view.
  • Click Economics then open  International Forecasts & Surveys then Consensus Economics Mean Forecasts.

Economist Intelligence Unit 

  • Select Data--Data Tool from the top menu.
  • In Step 1, select All Market Indicators.
  • Choose countries or region in Step 2 and add your selection(s).
  • In Step 3, expand specific series to find forecasts or locate by keyword searching.  Add your selection(s). 
  • In Step 4, choose desired years for the forecast(s) and add the selection.  
  • Click View Data.

Bloomberg

  • Provides two years of forecast data for 42 countries. Type ECFC and press the GO key.

ProQuest Statistical Insight

  • Enter "forecasts" in the Basic search box, or choose Advanced Search to add additional search terms.
  • Refine your search by using the filters on the left side of the screen.

Baker Library Country & Region Databases

  • The databases in this list have some additional forecast data points.  Try using forecast as a search term when reviewing the data series they contain.
