Where can I find transcripts of conference calls?

A.

Bloomberg

  • On the single security main menu type EVT then hit GO for a calendar of corporate events. Check for audio and/or transcripts of earnings calls.
    • Dates of coverage: 2001-

Capital IQ

  • Place your mouse over the Companies tab at the top of the page
  • Select Transcripts from the dropdown menu under News, Events & Filings
  • Search by company name or keyword

Please note: Individual accounts required. HBS MBA students can also access this database in the Stamps Reading Room.

Factiva

  • Type rst=fndw and hlp=[company name] (e.g., rst=fndw and hlp=intel) for transcripts from CQ FD (FAIR DISCLOSURE) WIRE.
    • Dates of coverage: 2002-

FactSet  

  • Click on the magnifying glass icon and type in Event Calendar.
  • Enter in company name or ticker.
  • Select date or date range.
  • Under Conference Call, select Earnings Calls.

Thomson ONE

  • Click on Screening & Analysis.
  • Click on Research and then on Research Search .
  • Use the magnifying glass icon and type streetevents in the Contributor field to find transcripts from Thomson StreetEvents.
  • Select a company by using the Ticker or Name.
    • Dates of coverage: 2002-

Freely available resources: 

  • In Seeking Alpha, select Articles tab and then select Transcripts.
     
  • Check the Investor Relations area on company web sites for webcasts, transcripts, and other financial news released by the company.
     
  • A good source of free earnings call transcripts is Morningstar.
