Bloomberg Certification:  Bloomberg offers 3 modules as part of there certification program - Bloomberg Financial Fundamentals, Bloomberg Market Concepts and Environmental Social Governance (ESG). 

Open to all current Harvard faculty, students, and staff through 12/31/2024*, with potential for extension.

Capital IQ Certification: The Capital IQ Certification Program by CAPSIM is available to all current Harvard faculty, staff, and enrolled students. You will need current access to Capital IQ from Baker Library to complete the program. 

Open to all current Harvard faculty, students, and staff.

• Please email infoservices@hbs.edu and request instructions for creating your account. 

Once your account is created, you can login at CAPSIM to begin the self-directed onboarding process and complete the 5-section Certification Modules. Each module takes roughly 20-30 minutes to complete. All modules must be completed to receive a score, and if you achieve a 70% or higher, you will instantly be provided with an individualized certificate. 

LSEG Finance Essentials Online Certification: Understanding the Capital Markets requires a synthesis of finance theory, economic insight and market dynamics.

The LSEG Finance Essentials program offers students and market practitioners the opportunity to build a clear understanding of the markets and finance. Designed by industry-leading instructors at Training the Street and finance experts at LSEG, the program offers a carefully organized educational series that delivers a clear framework of the foundations of the Capital Markets.

• Registration is free and open to the public. It is best experienced for those with access to LSEG Workspace but this is not a requirement. Note: LSEG Workspace was formerly known as Refinitiv Workspace.

LSEG Datastream Certification: This is a foundational certification covering core functionality within Datastream, designed to get you started

The Datastream Certification allows you to demonstrate your knowledge of a product that is widely used in the industry by financial market professionals. Using our on-demand learning catalogue, you can upskill and prepare at your own pace, with a final test that is accessible online for you to self-register for and take at a time that suits you.

• Registration is free and open to the public. It is best experienced for those with access to Datastream but this is not a requirement.
