Using Baker Library databases, it is possible to screen for firms that currently employ people in portfolio operations or in an operations department. 

Capital IQ

Select Screening > Companies from the top menu bar.

• Under the section Investment/Advisory Firms select the following:
  • Investment Firm Type > PE/VC 
  • Investment Style Managed > PE/Buyouts
• Under the section Employment / Board select the following:
  • Professional Job Functions > Operations Professional
  • Use the check box for Limit to current job functions
• Add any additional filters

Note: This Capital IQ screen is for firms with PE operations professionals, there may be several names per firm. 

Pitchbook

Select People > Build a Custom People Screen from the left hand navigation menu.

• Firm type > PE/Buyout 
• Position Departments > Operations
• Use the check box for Position Status > Active
• Add any additional filters

Note: This Pitchbook example is a people screen for people working in the Operations department. The primary company listed might not be a PE firm, check the individual profile for other jobs/roles.
