Q.
Bloomberg News Articles

I am trying to read an article from Bloomberg's website and am receiving a prompt saying "To continue reading this article, you must be a Bloomberg News subscriber" or to view at a Bloomberg Terminal.  How can I access this?

A.

Some articles from Bloomberg.com are only accessible via a Bloomberg terminal, available on site at Baker Library.

To view the full content of this type of article you have to be logged in at a Bloomberg terminal.  You can set up your own account by following information here.  We have two Bloomberg terminals in the Stamps Reading Room on the 3rd floor available for you to use during Information Services hours listed here..

Current HBS students have access to additional terminals on the 1st floor by going here and clicking the link in the lower right for "Exchange Computers Login/Password (HBS only)".

In case the Law School Library is more convenient for you to visit, Bloomberg access also is provided at Langdell.  Once you create a Bloomberg account you can can use it at any Bloomberg terminal in either location.

Viewing articles at Terminal

Once at a terminal and  logged into Bloomberg, you should be able to go to the web page for your article and click where it says "Read this article on the terminal."  The full article should load in Bloomberg.  Use the export option to download a PDF.

Viewing Bloomberg News

When logged into Bloomberg, type keywords from the article title and select from the list of auto-suggestions.  Note, you may need to then select "News" from the left menu and look for your article again.  The full article should load in Bloomberg.  Use the export option to download a PDF.
