Company data/information

  • Capital IQ - provides public and private company profiles and strong in company financials, capital transactions, etc. For a multimedia learning module on Capital IQ check out our Learn with Baker Library Capital IQ Introduction.
  • Pitchbook - Information on companies, deals, funds, investors and service providers across the private investment lifecycle.
  • LSEG Workspace - provides public and private company profiles and strong in company analyst reports, current and historical SEC filings. Industry/market analysis

  • EMIS – global industry/market reports from various research firms as well as news, articles on all aspects of business and management in emerging markets.
  • Frost & Sullivan - reports on industry research, growing opportunities, market trends encompassing various tech related fields.
  • Statista - quick statistics and analysis on various topics. Worth notice: each record includes sources used. That is a good lead for further data tracking.

Business and management literature

  • ABI/ProQuest - best for finding articles on all aspect of business and management topics including some company SWOT analysis. Covers industry and academic journals. It also includes newspapers such as Wall Street Journal.
  • Gartner Online Information - best useful for information technology related news, analysis, trends, leading practices and case studies.  
  • ScienceDirect - useful for finding studies on science, technology, and medical based business. Covers scholarly health science, life science, physical and engineering science, and management journals. 
  • JSTOR - useful for finding studies on management related topics. Covers academic journals, eBooks and primary sources.
  • Wiley Online Library - useful for finding scholarly studies on business and management topics. Covers journals focusing on business, economics, and finance.
