The following databases are useful for Digital Innovation and Transformation course assignments, the blog posts in particular.

For significant or latest development of a company, competitor, and/or industry sectors:

  • American City Business Journals - A database covers weekly business journals from more than 40 major metropolitan cities across the United States. Information includes local business news, local companies of various industries, etc. 
  • Business Insider Intelligence - A database provides technology-related news and reports. Topics covered include 3D printing, AI or machine learning, robotics, sustainability, and the like. 
  • Factiva - A key database that covers articles from magazines, trade publications, national and local newspapers such as Wall Street Journal, New York Times. Boston Globe, The Times, etc. It also covers selected web contents such as blogs. Use the powerful Search Builder to located information of your interest effectively.
  • Gartner Online Information ResourcesThe database includes research findings on a wide range of IT-related topics, including analysis, opinions, trends, leading practices, and case studies. (The Harvard community has access to select Gartner research through its online database, "Core Research Campus Access.")

For quick statistics:

  • eMarketer - A database covering tables, charts, and articles on market data, statistics, and analysis on the Internet, e-business, online marketing, media, and emerging technologies. 
  • Statista - A statistics portal covering diverse topics of data and facts. Sources of information include market research, trade publications, scientific journals, and government databases.

For company financials and analysis:

  • Capital IQ - Useful for finding company profiles, financial data, investment data, industry ratios, significant developments, etc.
  • Thomson One - Useful for finding company annual reports, company and industry analyst reports.
