Company Profiles

Orbis
A global database containing information on millions of companies, including private entities.  

International Directory of Company Histories
Histories include company development and background; merger and acquisition history; impact of sales and marketing campaigns; effectiveness of executive leadership; expansions and strategies; labor/management actions; stock exchanges, ticker symbols, and industries; and principal subsidiaries, divisions, operating units, and competitors. Information is sourced from publicly accessible data as well as materials supplied by the companies themselves.

Company Financials

Bloomberg
Current and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for both international and domestic markets. Also provides company profiles and financial statements, analysts' forecasts, news on worldwide financial markets, and audio and video interviews and presentations by key players in business and finance.

Compustat
​Compustat (United States) and Global Vantage (international) contain fundamental financial and price data for active and inactive publicly traded companies. Compustat goes back annually to 1950, and Global Vantage goes back to 1993. It is available through Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). Individual accounts required.
