Company, Industry and Market  Data Sources

Thomson ONE
Search company by name or ticker on the upper left hand side on the screen. See tabs for Overview, Fundamentals, Prices, Estimates, Analyst Research and Filings. 

Capital IQ
Data on public and private companies, industry, investment, and financial overviews, investment firms, capital transactions, and people. Note: You must request a Capital IQ account, see link above for more information. Also, the Capital IQ Plug-in is available in Baker Library for large scale data retrival.

Bloomberg (In Library Use Only)
Current and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for both international and domestic markets. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) specific data by company is available, using the FA ESG command once you are on the main page for the equity. The Bloomberg API/plug-in is available on the Baker Library terminals.  

Global Financial Data
Comprehensive economic and financial time-series database covering 150 countries and 6,500 different data series. Includes data on stock markets, exchange rates, interest rates, commodities  and inflation. Users can download data into spreadsheet format or use the graphing features. 

WRDS
WRDS is a warehouse of financial, accounting, banking, economics, management, marketing, and public policy databases accessible through a single Web-based interface. Some specific resources of interest may be CRSP, Compustat, Global Insight. More information is available on WRDS databases accessible by the Harvard community.

Datastream (In Library Use Only)
Historical, global coverage of equities, stock markets, commodities, futures, currencies, options, bond markets, company financials, and economic data. The database is updated daily, and historical equity information goes back as far as 1973, though coverage varies across countries and types of content. Sources include national governments, OECD, EIU, IMF, Worldscope, and Morgan Stanley Capital (MSCI). This also includes financial statement data from Worldscope for non-U.S. companies.

Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU)
In depth country analysis and data. Includes: EIU Data Services: Country Data, City Data and Market Indicators and Forecasts.

IMF eLibrary
Statistical database from the International Monetary Fund. Includes: Balance of Payment Statistics, Direction of Trade Statistics and Government Finance Statistics and International Financial Statistics.

UNData
Provides access to major UN statistical databases and those of several international organizations.Covers a wide range of subjects including agriculture, crime, education, employment, energy, environment, health, HIV/AIDS, human development, industry, information and communication technology,national accounts, population, refugees, tourism, trade, as well as the Millennium Development Goals indicators.
