Where can I find statistical sources for industry and country research?

Demographic and statistical data can be used in various ways when you analyzing a industry, such as to get an idea of the size and characteristics of a potential market, get background information on the economic situation of a country an industry operates in, show business possibilities (e.g. country economic forecasts), and assist in determining the potential risk of doing business in an industry or locality.

Statistical Abstract of the United States
Provides statistics for the U.S. with selected data for regions, states, metropolitan areas, cities, and foreign countries.
