Where can I find historical and current statistics on retail sales?
A.
- For U.S. national data, go to the U.S. Census Bureau Web site and use the Latest Annual Retail Trade Report for estimates and use the Economic Census Geographic Area Series Retail Trade for actual national and state data.
- For international data by country including forecasts, labor indicators, and statistics for food and nonfood sales go to Passport to search for statistics and reports on broad categories such as "Store-based Retailing" or specific categories such as "Clothing and Footwear."
