Where do I find information on executive compensation?


A.

To find out executive compensation information: 

  • In Nexis Uni
    • Enter "Executive Compensation" in the main search box.
    • Select desired source from the sources that appear in drop down box-- U.S. Executive Compensation Database- Executive Biographies or U.S. Executive Compensation Database- Boards & Committees.
    • Enter the name of a company or executive in the search box.
    • Select the entry for company or executive profile.
  • In Capital IQ
    • Select the Companies tab at the top of the screen.
    • Under Capital IQ Intelligence select Search Profiles. Search by company or by person.
    • Select Compensation from the left sidebar. Compensation data is not available for all individuals and companies.
  • In Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS):
    • S&P Compustat Execucomp, provides compensation for S&P 1000 firms from 1992 to present.
    • BoardEx, profiles on over 1M Directors & Senior Managers including current compensation data for Disclosed Earners.
    • S&P Capital IQ People Intelligence, covers over 4.5 million professionals and over 2.4 million people including private and public company executives. 
    • MSCI: GMI Ratings, formerly known as Corporate Library, offers annual historical data captures for each proxy year beginning in 2001. Information includes compensation.
  • In Refinitiv Workspace:
    • Type a company name or ticker into the main search bar to load a company profile.
    • Click the ‘ESG” tab and select ‘Overview’ under ‘Officers’ section.
    • Click on any blue highlighted name for a more detailed breakdown of their compensation.
  • Candid Nonprofit Compensation Report is available via HOLLIS.
    • The report reviews key employee compensation practices at charitable nonprofit organizations based on data derived from the GuideStar database of digitized Form IRS 990 and 990-EZ information.
