How do I set up an alert for articles/new info on a specific company, topic or industry?

The following databases have alert capabilities that can help you stay up to date on areas of interest:


  • Run a search on the company, topic, or industry you are interested in.
  • Click "Create alert" (above search results)

Business Source Complete

  • Run a search on the company, topic, or industry you are interested in.
  • Click "Share" (listed above search results), then "Email Alert."
  • Create a new account, then follow the instructions.

Financial Times

  • Set up an account if you don't already have one
  • In, click on "Tools" (upper right), then "Alerts Hub" to create and manage alerts.

Capital IQ

  • Once logged into Capital IQ, click on "Alerts" on the upper right of the screen.  
  • Enter the company you're interested in tracking, then follow the alert instructions.

SNL Interactive

  • When logged into your account, click on Apps to access the RSS Feeds page.
