Article searches are important to business research because not all information comes pre-packaged. Articles can provide hard to find information such as information on specialized products and industries, forecasts or other metrics, hot topics and trends, as well as historical information since most databases have content going back 30 years.
Each database vendor offers their own special features: covering different publications, search capabilities, date ranges, and formats (i.e. abstract, full-text, pdf image, full-text with charts). See this list comparing the search features of some of these databases.

Great source for news from developing nations.
There are also free sites for locating articles such as http://www.findarticles.com/. But the for-fee sources are far superior for conducting article searches and the extent of the publications they cover.
